From Bali to Banyuwangi:

The journey starts from Bali. Our meeting point is our office in Canggu, from where we drive you by car to Gilimanuk Port (in Bali). The trip lasts approximately 3,5 hours. We then cross by ferry to Ketapang Port of Banyuwangi. The ferry ride takes from 45 minutes to 1 hour. From there we take you to your  hotel – which is on average a 15 minute ride away from the port.

Day One of Our Adventure:

Once you check in, you can enjoy the hotel facilities and rest. We recommend that you sleep early as our team will pick you up at 12.30-1.00 am to explore the phenomenal blue fire of Mount Ijen, And at 3.00am just to enjoy sunrise on the top of mount ijen. The drive to Mount Ijen is relatively short and takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Our local guides will wait for you at the base of the mountain and will provide gas masks to protect you from the sulphur (the sulphur concentration creates the phenomenal blue lava of Mount Ijen) and head torches. They will accompany you on a relatively easy 3km trek from the foot to the top of the mountain. 

Once you arrive at the top and while it is still dark, you can enjoy the incredible blue lava of Ijen. Our guides will then prepare morning coffee or tea and a small snack that you can savour at the top of the mountain while the sun rises. Sunrise from the top is an experience not to be missed.

Our driver & team will be waiting at the bottom of the mountain to take you back to your hotel where you can enjoy your breakfast and suntan by the pool all day. In-house massages are highly recommended (come at extra cost).

In the afternoon around 3pm – once you’ve had some rest and are ready for more - you have the option of visiting Jagir Waterfall (only a 20minute ride from the hotel). Our driver will take you there and back to your hotel.

Not far from Jagir Waterfall, there are many hillside restaurants with one of a kind views and some local delicacies perfect for an early dinner or afternoon snack. However, you can also choose to opt out and return to your hotel. You can decide on the spot and inform our driver. 

At night time, you can either have dinner at the hotel or go out and explore the city. The driver will happily take you into the town. If you are unsure of where to go for dinner in town, just message us and we will share some of the best picks in the area.
*Please note that the driver is at your disposal until 9pm.

Day Two Of Our Adventure:

On your second day, we will take you to Tabuhan Islands, ideal for snorkelling, suntanning all day on the sandy beaches and swimming in crystal clear blue waters.

Our team will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast around 9am. The drive to Bansring beach is approximately 20 minutes. We will provide snorkelling equipment, tropical fruits, snacks, soft drink andwater.

Bansring beach is beautiful and, just few metres from the shore, there is a traditional-style floating platform which serves as the perfect base for snorkelling. Imagine a small area that’s teaming with exotic colourful fish and coral so you can snorkel within safe distance of the platform and just admire Mother Nature.  

We will then 15 minute cross  the water by traditional boat and go to Tabuhan Islands. The islands are so small that it takes less than an hour to walk around. Just think of sandy beaches, pristine waters, colourful fish and nobody else on the whole island – these are the sorts of desert islands where you’d be happy to be stranded!

Once you have seen all the exotic fish you can think of, you can take a break and savour some exotic fruit, snacks, water and soft drink.

Once you had enough of paradise for a day (sunset), before dark the happy fishermen with their traditional boats will take you back to Bansring beach and from there the driver will take you back to the hotel.

For dinner, please inform the team or our driver, to take you into town. Once again we are here for restaurant advice – we know the town inside out.

Day Three of The Adventure:

Unfortunately all good things come to an end and day three is the day we will have to say goodbye to Banyuwangi. Once you finish your breakfast, our team will be waiting for you at the hotel reception to take you back to Bali.

If you can’t just say goodbye yet, there are plenty of other adventures to be had. Additional adventures include Baluran National Park, Alas Purwo National Park, Lider Waterfall, Red Island and Wedi Ireng Beach.
